Ozobots and Learning to Program

| 2.4.19

Ozobots are one of the most versatile and engaging robotics options that every MakerSpace should consider. Ozobots are small, programmable robots that are simple enough for Pre-K students to use and engaging enough for much older kids to enjoy and learn from as well.

As you will see in the video above and the one below, you “program” Ozobots through color. Most commonly, all it takes is a set of markers and the programming diagram and kids are off and running! Of course, there are many higher level applications that the older kids will enjoy as well, as the Ozobot ecosystem has a wealth of support material for the education world. With starter kids priced at just under $100 robot kit, Ozobots are a very well-developed and affordable way to introduce your students to robotics and programming without much knowledge yourself.
